Whatcha, Whatcha, Whatcha Want?

Hey, nobody said I had to look girlie every day. I mean if Landen gets to dress like dada, I should be able to look like dada does while he's working.

I had my first real playground experience the other day. Normally trips to the playground include my big brother running all around while I sit idle in the stroller touching my toes. Well move over kiddo, you've got company! I took it slow and started with the swings. Mama took it even slower. Maybe next time she'll give me a push.

From Here To There And Back

We boarded another plane last week for Los Angeles to visit my cousins and to my surprise Nana Joan was also visiting. Quite the popular spot I must say. I really had a good time out there but that's pretty much par for the course (not sure what that means but I heard dada say it) since I felt the same way after my last trip. I hung out with all my cousins, went to the parks, and kept my distance from Uncle Robert. He's been sick of late so we made sure to give him his space. The big news of the trip was I had my first sampling of real food. I call it real because it was fed to me from a spoon. I'm sure everyone else would look at it and consider using a straw. What was it? Rice? Whatever it was I ate it and liked it. Thank you, mama. May I have another?

At one point in the trip I think I was tossed in with the laundry. Might be a faster way of bathing me but c'mon. I'll take a bath please.

It was a great trip to see my cousins but let's not forget where I came from. Representing here in LAUREN'S WORLD!

I'm A Nittany Lion

Sometimes mama and dada like to push certain things on me. For the most part I'm okay with it, I mean after all I can't really say no (just yet). They dress me in little outfits that have cute sayings, prop me up in places that you don't normally think to see a wee-one, and sit me down in the bumbo forcing me to watch their activities (showering, cooking, dancing, dozing, and wii fitting). Well now it appears I'll be following in my mama's footsteps. At least I have great ice cream to look forward to. Destined for Happy Valley here in LAUREN'S WORLD!

My Friends

It wasn't long before I realized my little brother was going to be my big friend. It was only recently though that I realized I have many other friends. There's O the dinosaur, Elmo, Snuggle Bear, M-I-C-K-E-Y, Duckey, Snow Bear, Cute and Fuzzy Bunny, Boo the ghost, Chief Bear, Blue, Happy Scrappy Pup, Harry Honu, and Wuff. Happy to be surrounded by characters with such character in LAUREN'S WORLD!

I Could Have Been a Stocking Stuffer

As much as I didn't like the day I was born (I had quite the setup in there), I'm beginning to like things out here more and more every day. We just spent the holiday at Nana Mary's and I had the best time. On Christmas morning mama, dada, my big brother Landen, and I all dressed up in matching pajamas. Even nana joined in on the fun. I'd have to say, out of all of us I certainly looked the cutest! Wishing it were Christmas every day of the year here in LAUREN'S WORLD!

A Tree Grows In . . .

. . . my house! And it's the prettiest one in all the world. Mama and dada did a great job of decorating it. I wonder if that tree will be a permanent fixture in our home. I mean it's so pretty. Why would we ever take it down? Bringing nature home for the holidays in LAUREN'S WORLD!

Dr. No!

Mama and dada took me to the doctor today. I wanted to protest - scream NO! as loud as I could. All that ended up coming out was a little drool and some bubbles. I really need to work on my words. And wouldn't you know it, today was shots day. I had to get two shots. And the worst part is, I'm not even sick! What's with that? Someone needs to explain that logic to me.

So

I will not share with you the pain I'm feeling in BOTH my thighs, but instead, share pleasant memories of my visit from Aunt Joan and my cousin Connor. They came all the way from South Carolina and Connor and I certainly had fun together. We took trips around Park Slope together, slept together, and even shared a couple drinks together. I do look forward to seeing Connor again.
